Problem and Solution

Problem: Many lawyers rely on spreadsheets, emails, and disjointed tools to manage referrals and business development. This creates inefficiency, lost opportunities, and no reliable way to manage relationships at scale.

Solution: Sellfine was designed as a targeted platform giving lawyers tailored tools for lead generation, relationship building, and business goal tracking, all within a privacy-conscious environment. By launching a clear MVP and a compelling website, we aimed to validate the concept and start capturing interested users.

Stage 1. Market research and analysis

  • Initiated the project with comprehensive market research, analyzing competitors and identifying gaps in the SaaS legal market.

  • Conducted surveys and focus groups with potential users to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points regarding there experience with magagining leads.

  • Synthesised research findings to develop a clear value proposition for the app, focusing on unique features such as daily learning, pursuing clients, prompting next steps and building relationships.

Stage 2. Concept development and user flow design

  • Led the conceptualisation phase, brainstorming with the founder to generate innovative ideas that align with user needs and project goals.

  • Developed 3 user personas and scenarios to guide the design process and ensure a user-centred approach.

  • Mapping out user flows for key app functionalities, including account creation, creating tasks, planning tasks and actions.

  • Stepping into the users shoes through user journey and empathy maps, examining goals, actions, needs, and pain points along the way.

Stage 3. Sketch to wireframe and UI design

  • What started as rough sketches, turned into wireframes. Crafting a friendly clean interface that would then be further refined.

  • I developed the design system which included building icons, card layouts and typography styles. This will help make the designs consistent as we continue to build out the rest of the screens.

Stage 4. User testing and iteration

  • Organised user testing sessions with a small group of participants to gather feedback on the designs, look and feel.

  • Analysed feedback to validate our ideas before we commit to completing the rest of the features.

Stage 5. Final presentation and handoff

  • Compiled and presented the project report to the founding team, detailing the design process and final app design. The presentation highlighted the app's potential to enable lawyers to be more efficient and indispensable.

  • Prepared and delivered design specifications and assets to the team, next steps is to pitch the prototype for lead generation

Next Steps

With a clear goal to deliver an MVP, we are focused on getting a functional product into users’ hands as quickly as possible. This will lay the foundation for real-world feedback and improvement.

  • We will continue testing and validating Sellfine, prioritising user input to fine-tune features and ensure the solution truly meets their needs.

  • To build momentum and attract early adopters, we plan to launch a dedicated website designed to generate leads and spark interest in Sellfine’s potential.
